Da Capo II (aka Da Crap-o II)

Okay. . I know I haven't posted in forever, but since I had some time and the series failed so much, I couldn't help myself to not doing so.

Some may know that I became a huge fan of Da Capo and especially gained a liking towards Asakura Nemu (which also had Kotori added in because I can.). In Da Capo II we are delivered with the story of the grandchildren of those in the original Da Capo story. The only returning character we see is Yoshino Sakura (who is of a minor role in this series). ON TO THE ACTUAL CRAP!

The story follows not the Asakura twins, but a chick named Koko. First let me start by saying this, KOKO SUCKS! She is the worst protagonist female lead I've seen yet. She just fails overall in comparison to the other characters in the series. Now the actual story was just SOOOO standard and boring that I could barely concentrate throughout the episodes. It lacked in almost every field I can think of.

Story: We follow Koko trying to develop her relationship with the lead protagonist guy (whatever his name was) and also follow Amakase Minatsu. Thats....about it for story. Nothing else. . .It was basically watching ToHeart all over again. It started to linear and felt like each episode was the same over and over again.

Characters: Nothing much to say. I've grown to like Nanaka a lot. . . even though she was just a support in the anime. . . I'm extremely sad on how they shafted almost every character possible. . .

Animation: Oh god, don't get me started. Animation felt flawed on so many levels. Now usually I wouldn't mind, but. . . It was really difficult to watch. It wasn't nice and the story didn't help either.

Music/Sound: I usually don't pay attention to this, but I can say its pretty standard considering its a port of the visual novel...so I can't say.

Overall Enjoyment: I found myself wanting to drop it faster than one can say "this sucks". I was just extremely bored through the whole experience. . . Its extremely rare to find an anime that made me want to just die in a hole. I mean Second Season of Da Capo was better than this...and I hated Aishia with a passion in DC SS.

On that note I will not recommend this to ANYONE. I don't care if you like Da Capo or want a romance anime, this series just flat out sucks. The only reason I slightly enjoyed it was because Nanaka was a good enough character to watch and I was hoping something would happen with Sakura. It sucks, they don't even make much mention of the fact the lead character can do magic or anything. I felt the first episode was just extremely disjointed and I swear I probably didn't pay attention 95% of the time.
